7-Ton Crash that Sent 30 Marines to Hospital Was Unit's 2nd Major Training Accident
On Aug. 16, two 7-ton trucks collided aboard Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California. Thirty Marines were sent to the hospital. The Marine Corps never publicly announced the high-casualty mishap, despite the fact that it came just weeks after a member of the same unit was paralised during a live-fire exercise.
