Five years on: how the QF32 investigation improved safety

Five years ago, a Qantas Airbus A380 (operating as QF32) experienced an uncontained engine failure over Batam Island, Indonesia. The ATSB's investigation into this accident relied on the cooperation of international regulators, Rolls-Royce, and Airbus, as well as accredited representatives from the United Kingdom, Indonesian, Singaporean and French investigation agencies.
