What we don’t know has hurt us
The IHST was founded 10 years ago with the goal of reducing the worldwide helicopter accident rate by 80 percent. However, in most parts of the world, and most sectors of the industry, we still don’t know what the accident rate actually is, and many accident causes also remain a mystery.
