FAA policy change could restrict development, use of inlet barrier filters
The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a reinterpretation of policy that would make it much more difficult to certify helicopter inlet barrier filters (IBFs), even though there is no evidence that existing certification practices have resulted in an unsafe product.
