Radical changes to the Safety Regime for Major Hazard Facilities in New Zealand
Following the Pike River mine disaster in 2010, the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment assembled a task force to approach the issue of regulatory regime reform with respect to workplace safety; with a specific focus on Major Hazard Facilities. The result is the new Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
