U.S. Restricts Onboard Electronics on Certain International Flights
Airlines flying to the U.S. from 10 airports in the Middle East and Africa must comply with a new rule that prohibits passengers from bringing electronic devices larger than a cell phone or smartphone in the cabin. All passengers on affected flights must put these devices in their checked luggage before boarding. These items include laptops, tablets, e-readers and gaming equipment larger than a phone, plus portable DVD players, printers and scanners.
