Oven-Related Diversion Spotlights Fire Caution
When pilots of a Condor Airlines Boeing 767-300ER en route from Frankfurt to Las Vegas at 33,000 ft. on July 20 noticed a strange smell “like burning rubber” that was increasing in intensity, they called Condor’s technical department by satellite phone and initiated the “Smoke, Fire or Fumes” checklist.
