Cancer risk from toxins on firefighters’ PPE needs regulation, researchers say
New research suggesting that firefighters’ elevated risk of cancer is linked to skin absorption of toxic compounds from combustion deposited on badly-cleaned PPE has led to calls for further research and new UK regulations to limit exposure.
