The Tenerife Airport Disaster was the deadliest plane crash in history that killed 583 people and prompted air traffic control to avoid phrases such as ‘okay’. March 27, marked the 42nd anniversary of the deadliest incident in aviation history, also known as the Tenerife Airport Disaster.
